My name is Isabella Littleford, and I bring over a decade of hands-on experience in the world of fashion, always with a focus on how beauty and practicality merge.

Having spent more than ten years in fashion, I’ve had the amazing opportunity of refining my expertise in Paris, fashion’s epicenter and collaborating with some of the most visionary designers in the world. That experience taught me to recognize luxury-level detail, forward-thinking design, and pieces that last. Golden Goose sneakers have long caught my attention, a brand that seamlessly blends a distressed, lived-in vibe with luxury-level build quality. Today, I’m offering my insights into several of the Superstar editions, exploring their design language, wearability, and wardrobe potential.

Whether you’re a die-hard sneaker collector or simply looking to inject a bit of chic into your wardrobe, I’m here to help you understand the appeal with knowledge gained through a decade in the field. Let’s dive into why Golden Goose sneakers deserve a spot in your lineup!

I purchased my first pair of Golden Goose sneakers a few months ago (and shared them first in this post!), and received a number of questions about them since then. So many that I decided it was finally time to do a full write-up! I’ve also broken them in well that I understand how they really perform, and a number of other aspects about them, which you’ll see broken down further.

So I’m diving into a bunch of popular FAQs, as well as where to score deals on them, just ahead! Also, if you’re interested in more try-ons and reviews, check out my comparison of Abercrombie and Agolde jean shorts, Goyard St. Louis GM Tote review, and Dudley Stephens fleece review!

Where were you able to get your pair?

Cettire had them on sale women’s pink golden goose and I took advantage right away!

Placed my order on April 28th and they were delivered by the 30th, so the shipping was super fast and that’s a win in my book

How much do they go for?

I snagged a pair for $385.43, though they usually retail for around $513.91.

You can expect to pay between four hundred bucks and seventeen hundred depending on their uniqueness.

Are they true to size?

They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a European 36.

They haven’t stretched noticeably, so if you’re between sizes, I’d go up a size

Is the comfort worth it?

They felt good right away. I recommend wearing no-shows, especially since they help with airflow. Top-quality leather, so it’s much more comfortable than breaking in synthetic materials. Also, they’re already broken-in so your feet just get comfortable fast.

How do they perform over time?

They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they’ve held up beautifully. Nothing has torn, and the leather hasn’t stretched. Since the aesthetic is distressed, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.

Do they feel better than other shoes?

Nothing else compares in comfort or quality. I love my Vejas and Tretorns, but Golden Goose still come out on top. They have a hidden arch lift that adds a little height — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re crafted individually, so each pair is custom-feeling. And the shine on mine? Stunning.

Are they worth it?

Totally! Just try not to pay full price. They’re expensive, so getting them with a promo is a better idea. I’d pay several hundred for the quality, especially if you get a pair you love. I went bold with sparkle, but a neutral version would also go with everything.

Where can I find them on sale?

Scroll down for my go-to sources. I had a perfect experience with GGoose.org, so I always recommend starting there.

These sneakers typically cost anywhere between $400–$1,700, depending on how decked out they are.

Are they true to size?

Yes, they do run true to size, at least for me. They haven’t stretched much, so if you’re between sizes, I’d go up

Are they comfortable?

They’re extremely comfortable, and only took a few hours to break in.

How do they perform over time?

Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they’ve held up beautifully. Nothing has torn, and the structure feels strong.

Since the aesthetic is distressed, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
